Biography

I study broad areas in logic and the philosophy of science, with specific interests in decision theory and the foundations of probability and statistics. My doctoral research centres primarily around uncertainty quantification and the role probability plays in scientific methodology and decision-making under uncertainty. More precisely, I am investigating how to use various models of precise probability, with the aid of betting markets, to produce decision-relevant quantifications of group-level uncertainty in climate change science, specifically within the context of the IPCC’s assessment report framework.
