Biography :

I am an engineer and a flex-time PhD student specialising in the history of philosophy, science, and technology in the nineteenth-century Middle East. I am especially interested in competing epistemologies in (post)colonial contexts and their counterparts in writing, visual representation, practice, and material culture.

My other areas of interest include metaphysics, science and religion, and new media in contemporary culture. Prior to my doctoral research I completed an MA at the IHPST and a BEng at McGill University where I studied in-flight icing from a fracture mechanics framework at the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) laboratory and interned at Bombardier Aviation and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
